Dyns New Internet Intelligence Products Shine in Third Quarter

Manchester, New Hampshire (PRWEB) November 05, 2014

Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet Performance, today announced 23 successive quarters of revenue growth since 2009. The company also saw 42 percent revenue growth in their third quarter (the quarter ending September 30, 2014) over the same time period in 2013. The third quarter of 2014 was highlighted by Dyn’s launch of its first two intelligence products, Dyn Internet Intelligence and IP Transit Intelligence, the addition of tens of thousands of new customers and dozens of new hires, including additions to the senior leadership team.

“Dyn understands that as technology makes commerce more global, businesses cannot leave Internet Performance to chance or rely on educated guesses to ensure their customers can reach online applications and assets as intended,” said Jeremy Hitchcock, CEO, Dyn. “Our intelligence products are leading Dyn’s growth, because they allow companies to monitor and analyze how Internet Performance affects their business using unbiased data — a value unmatched in the industry.”

Dyn Internet Intelligence Portfolio

Dyn Internet Intelligence (DII) and IP Transit Intelligence are cloud-based products that provide real-time visibility into critical Internet connectivity and routing data so enterprises get a comprehensive look into how the Internet affects their online presence. DII and IP Transit Intelligence leverage the world’s most extensive sensor grid, geolocation analysis and Internet connectivity mapping, resulting in actionable, up-to-date insights to help select the best cloud service providers and data center locations to meet business goals and ensure their Internet applications and services are available to customers all over the world, at all times.

Unlike APM (Application Performance Management) and NPM (Network Performance Management), DII goes beyond applications and internal networks to unlock insights across the entire breadth and depth of the global Internet ecosystem – data centers, content delivery networks, and network and cloud service providers.

Because customers’ needs are often different, DII serves those looking to understand how Internet Performance impacts a business and brand, while IP Transit Intelligence serves those looking to gain valuable insights into Internet IP peering and transit relationships.

External Company Growth

During the third quarter of 2014, Dyn saw incredible customer growth. The company signed 245 new enterprise customers, including GolfNow.com, the Internet’s largest and most comprehensive online tee time reservation service; international fashion brand, Benetton; industrial battery technology company, Exide; identity theft protection company, LifeLock; UK ministerial department, Home Office; media entities, the Akron Beacon Journal and UStream; and online travel company, BookIt.com.

“Our migration to Dyn was seamless and the addition of its Enterprise DNS to GolfNow’s Internet presence means our users are reliably directed within the site,” said Sheriff Mohamed, Director of Architecture. “Our site’s performance is faster, which means our users can more efficiently use GolfNow.com to help them play more golf. Internally, we have the flexibility to add Geo Traffic Management services in the future so that we can further support growing the game of golf around the world.”

In addition to enterprise customers, Dyn also added 88,000 new self-service subscribers in the third quarter alone.

New Hires

Customers can’t make Internet Performance decisions alone. To support Dyn’s intelligence offerings and growth, the company announced five additions to its senior leadership team and dozens of other new hires. The new members of the Dyn’s senior leadership team, collectively, have decades of experience leading large global corporations. These appointments include:

Cindy Brown, SVP, Worldwide Sales — Prior to joining Dyn, Brown served as VP of Ad Operations at Yahoo, where she oversaw 300 employees and $ 1 billion in revenue per quarter.
Dave Connors, SVP, Operations — Connors has seen Dyn from many perspectives, first as a Dyn customer while serving as Constant Contact’s VP of Operations and then as Dyn’s VP of technical operations before broadening his scope to operations overall at Dyn.
Matt Toy, SVP, Customer Experience — Toy joins Dyn’s senior leadership team after more than three years at the company. With more than a decade of experience with SaaS-based technology companies, Toy is a tireless advocate for the voice of the customer.
Dave Allen, SVP, Legal and General Counsel — Allen, who specializes in formation, financing, governance and intellectual property issues, serves as Dyn’s general counselor and now joins the senior leadership team.
Brian Hayes, VP, Finance — Hayes has 15 years of experience scaling finances for tech-based companies and joins the senior management team after joining Dyn as corporate controller one year ago.
